| The top-secret project AGENT (Advanced Gear Enhanced Networked Trooper) was an underground scientific experiment originally funded by a Japanese based weapons manufacturer, SIERRA (Sol International Engineering Revolutionary Reality Association). The project's original purpose was to support X-Com operatives with combat cyborgs on the frontlines during the height of the Alien War. Unfortunately, after the failed execution of X-Com's assault against Cydonia, the Aliens decided to commence an all out invasion of Earth before X-Com can launch another strike. The invasion resulted in the decimation of almost all SIERRA's manufacturing capabilities before a sufficient amount of these super soldiers can be produced. Nevertheless, a prototype did survive, serial code Rei AGENT prototype, she was renamed Tiara Noto Yoko by resistance force members after she was found and reactivated in an abandoned underground factory. |
Development History |
| Prior to the Alien Invasion, SIERRA scientists have been assimilating Alien and Human technologies in order to create powerful hybrid weapons. SIERRA scientists speculated that a singular super combat unit could be created with the aid of Alien alloys, which is lighter, sturdier and cheaper than ordinary steel. Originally, this project was thought to be sponsored by the JSDF (Japanese Self Defense Force) but did not receive enough support, thus the project was scrapped. Once rejected, SIERRA quickly found another sponsor, the US Government, and project AGENT was reinitiated. The AGENT is an elerium-powered cyborg skeleton, covered by a thin skin made of a composite of alien alloys and synthetic skin, grafted with bio-engineered hardened muscle patches and protected by a mild electromagnetic field which functions in a way similar to the Powered Alloy Combat Vest. Obviously, it is designed to absorb multiple punishments while still maintaining combat efficiency. The AGENT's AI technology is almost entirely Alien in origin, since it is only an enhanced processor found on most UFO navigation systems. This AI enables an AGENT to process and adapt faster than a Human being, while its immense memory databanks allows an AGENT to store and provide combat records for its superiors. Due to their interior deigns, AGENTs possess superior reaction, speed and protection than any X-Com operative. AGENTs also have a vast knowledge of combat skills, which is due to their constant downloading of battlefield experiences from SIERRA computer databases; few of them include advanced weapons operation, martial arts and vehicle maneuverability. |

| Tiara obeys her orders almost willingly, never seem to disagree or argue with her superiors. Even when assigned to the most daring missions, she will strive to achieve her goal, no matter the cost. At peace times, she is very quiet, and tends to keep things to herself, which is possibly due to incomplete programming for expressing Human emotions. She engages missions without fear, dashing towards the enemy even when pounded by massive incoming blasts. Although her suicidal tendencies have led to some discomfort amongst her squad mates, she is nevertheless treated as an important asset of the resistance effort. |
