| Starting out in school as a hobby it was soon realised that he had
great potential as a rock climber and he became extremely profficient in
the field. At the age of eighteen he joined the army with the start of
the alien war and was transferred after basic training to a special search
and rescue unit for locating and saving downed interceptor pilots. After
the cydonia mission he was sent out with a squad into alaska to survey
for an emergency landing area. Subsequently they were attacked by a squad
of sectoids and killed down to two last men, him and another trooper. Taking
a chance he discarded his m16 for an mp-5 from a dead man and dropped his
pack leaving him only with climbing equipment and a gun with two clips
and scaled down a cliff with the other trooper clinging to his back The
sectoids support ship fired downwards killing the man on his back and leaving
an immense scar on David's right shoulder as they swung into the
shade of a cave.
Though he went through boot camp his regard for the rank system is low
and he will occasionally oppose orders outright. Due to the other troopers
death which he beleives should have been him he grieves whenever there's
time to relax. He takes unnecessary risks to save everyone around him.
Though tall he is thin but wiry capable of supporting not only himself
but someone else when hanging. His right shoulder bears a large brown scar
where the plasma shot burned his skin. On his left shoulder a similar scar
but in the shape of a hand. His hair is now growing back over similar scars
on his head. |
