Parents

Born to Mark and Sarah Parker. His father served on X-Com in late 1999 and went MIA on his sixth mission, controlled by an Ethereal. He was later saved by the Cold Force when they, in an attempt to save some pilots, attacked the alien base where he was being kept. He was reunited with Sarah, who had maraculously survived the post-Cydonian holocaust (often called the PCH) and was living in the remains of Vancouver, British Columbia. They moved to Shadrin, BC when its charter was first created in 2005 and were influential in having it named Shadrin, after one of the soldiers who had fought alongside Mark and was one of the only soldiers who survived from the initial X-Com draft until the doomed attack against Cydonia. They had two children before Arthur. One of them, Emily, died of SIDS and the other, Alex, was taken from them by a chryssalid while they were on a family outing. The chryssalid was promptly dispatched. Arthur was raised an only child.

History

Arthur killed his first alien in 2019 when he was only 8. It was a sectoid which had wandered into the family's backyard. When he saw it from his bedside window, he promptly picked up a club, ran outside into the freezing cold, and beat it to death.

The next year, the summer of 2020, he and a group of friends were attacked by a roaming band of snakemen while at a camp in what had once been Western Washington, near the foothills of the cascade mountains. Two of his friends were killed by the vile beasts, but he managed to sneak behind one and hit it over the head with an oar. It turned to retaliate, but he hit it second time, knocking it down. He grabbed the gun-- a plasma rifle-- and let loose. Seven snakemen lost their lives.

Over the course of his childhood and adolescence he destroyed some 30 odd aliens. He conducted makeshift autopsies on many of them, to the disgust of those around him. When he went to college, he decided to major in biology, and took all available courses on aliens.

He enrolled in the military the same year he began college, but never served actively until the Muton Columbian Incident of 2031. He was very effective in taking out the aliens, but refused to engage the rebel human forces. His superiors, although irritated about his inability to take human life, were so impressed by his effectiveness in combat that they nominated him for the C4 elite. He was accepted.
