| Michael's disciplines come from the Boy Scouts, though as everything he knows, he's
modified it to fit his own personality. Enjoying camping, he learned how to survive
in the wilderness and managed to prove he could on a bet. Having achieved the rank of
Eagle Scout, he entered college with an idea of how tough it would be. He guessed rightly. Having achieved a degree in engineering early in 2001, Michael immediately became part of an X-Com team, designing electronics for the Avenger that was lost. He was known for constructing the trickier elements with a certain gift. Although this gift was displayed often, he often wound up losing the credit to someone who could explain it clearly. When the alien reprisal struck, he managed to survive long enough to avoid being found. Hearing about a resistance group somewhere in Alaska, he started a long overland trip and arrived to find his sister, Sophia, there as well. |
