Flashlight |
Emits a beam of light for
illumination purposes. Even with today's alloy exteriors, their use as
a bludgeon is ill-advised. Most recent models can be attached to the EMCV's
power pack. |
|
Flare |
Twist and throw. Don't
hold in your hand. Provides adequate illumination over a certain radius
for several minutes. |
|
Gas Mask |
For those times when the
air is filled with harmful particles, nothing helps more than a good air
filter, or even an independent oxygen supply. The gas mask protects the
wearer from things like smoke inhalation. At this same time, it also protects
the face from wind, and gives the wearer a more intimidating look. Due
to increased gas weapon use, this is now standard issue to all U.S.S.A.
forces. |

Night-Vision goggles |
The NVG uses either light
amplification or heat sensing to provide the user with better vision in
the night. These function on batteries. Most recent models can be attached
to the EMCV's power pack. In addition, it is inadvisable to use
these while firing a weapon due to the fact that the flash can cause temporary
blindness. |

Electro Magnetic Combat Vest (EMCV) |
This is standard issue to all U.S.S.A.
military personnel. A kevlar vest which has several powerpacks generating
an intense electromagnetic field that disrupts incoming plasma and laser
fire. The field does not protect against the kinetic impact of the high-speed
particles which a plasma bolt consists of. Due to the immense power required
for these devices, a typical EMCV can only absorb 4-6 plasma or laser shots
before shorting out. The EMCV also has several ports for attaching power
cords from small electronic devices. |
