M16A4 Assault Rifle |
This assault rifle was
heavily refined over the last thirty years of use. It has seen action in
just about every conflict ranging from the Gulf War in the 1990's to the
Great Alien War of the 2000's. The current model has a 50-round clip and
a pump-action grenade launcher holding a maximum of two grenades. |
|
Flamethrower |
Originally designed for
flushing troops out of bunkers and fortified positions, this substitutes
in a pinch for giving the aliens staying on Earth a "warm" welcome. Warm
is an understatement though, as the concentrated Napalm fuel will reduce
most living and non-living things to slag in seconds. This weapon is available
upon assignment. |
|
Autocannon |
This high-velocity chaingun
can be used to carve intricate patterns on large aliens' chests. However,
proper operation requires special training, thus, it's use is restricted
to Heavy Weapons personnel. This weapon can be loaded with armor-piercing,
high explosive or incendiary bullets. |
|
Grenade Launcher
|
This weapon lobs grenades towards
its target. The difference between this and its predecessors is that this
gun can load and fire up to six grenades at a time - great for demolishing
a small building or just flushing the enemy out of cover.
|
|
Rocket Launcher |
The rocket launcher is
a time-honored weapon used for anti-tank, anti-building and anti-personnel
warfare. The principle is simple - point at target and shoot. Although
the blast radius of any rocket is quite large, if any sort of armor is
to be penetrated, a direct hit is recommended. |
|
Sniper Rifle |
The sniper uses the high-variable-magnification
scope to pick off enemy targets at long range. This model is equipped with
noise and flash suppression for better concealment. |
|
Smoke Grenade |
When it explodes, this
grenade billows out a huge cloud of smoke, obscuring visibility. Also,
it's not a good idea to stand and breathe the smoke in unless you have
some sort of breathing apparatus. |
|
Fragmentation Grenade |
Pull the pin. Throw at
the target. Grenade explodes, sending shrapnel all over the target area.
Not very useful against armored targets. |
|
Gas Grenade
|
The gas grenade has seen a revival
in recent years. Filled with concentrated tear or mustard gas, these are
used to flush aliens out of their hideouts - choking, gasping, individuals
staggering out of cover make great targets.
|
|
Proximity Grenade |
This grenade, once primed,
waits for a preset time. Then, if a small motion sensor detects any nearby
movement, the grenade blows up with the power of a standard fragmentation
grenade. |
|
Demolition Pack |
This is used by heavy weapons
personnel to blow through doors, walls, and occasionally, aliens when they
get really big and heavily armored. Warning - this device is heavy and
hard to throw very far. |
|
Laser Sniper Rifle
|
Developed in the early 2000's, the
laser family of weapons is still one of the U.S.S.A.'s most valuable assets.
The laser sniper rifle has the advantage of increased accuracy and power
over the standard sniper rifle. It's also quiter, but requires a short
cool-down period between each firing.

Laser Rifle
|
This weapon fires magnetically contained
laser bolts which essentially burn a hole through the target. With a rapid
fire rate, this weapon's only drawback is the fact that its power supply
is carried in a backpack. A typical backpack holds enough power for 100
shots.

Heavy Laser
|
Unlike the rest of the laser weapons,
this gun simply fires a high-power laser beam. Thus, it's most often used
in a slicing action, capable of cutting through flesh, armor and power
fields alike. Similar to its little brother, the Heavy laser's power unit
is housed in a backpack, and holds enough power for around a minute of
sustainted fire.
